HEY, I'M AARON!
Iām a self-taught artist of Scottish and Jamaican descent based in London. I create bold portraits and ink illustrations directly from my imagination. Merging classical portraiture with a spontaneous, stream-of-consciousness approach, my work explores surreal and grotesque figures, as well as themes like technology, spirituality, and cultural identity.
I founded Play Attention, a project where humor and lighthearted creativity contrast with my more serious art. With a background in storyboarding and art direction, I let intuition guide each piece, using tools such as Chinese calligraphy brushes and Pentel brush pens to keep the energy alive.
My creative journey, which embraces mistakes as part of the process, has led to collaborations with brands including Revlon, Vogue, Ogilvy, Saatchi & Saatchi, Mercedes, Disney, Netflix, H&M, and Sky Arts.
